Newbie to marine, I just got my 200g tank yesterday, was is a filthy state so I've given it a good clean with a distilled vinegar and lemon juice mix! Ive stuck the weir combs on with super glue but there are gaps between the front and side combs is that a problem? I also gave the glass a clean with some window cleaner inside and out! Will this be a problem when I come to fill (not filling for 8-9 weeks) or should I rinse with RO before I fill with SW in 9 weeks time?

There is a gap like that on the other side also

Do these need filling?

I have no clue on that [emoji23]... tbh, I have a tiny 39 g bowfront that has a HOB skimmer and absolutely no plumbing... I am just a visually spacial mechanical person. Lol I am very flat it worked good. Question, did you use superglue or silicone?

I used superglue, but to be honest after I had put the 2 sides on, the front wedged in and it's all pretty sturdy. I would of used silicone but the stuff I have has anti mould stuff in it and my LFS has sold out of aqurium safe stuff.

Just to be on the safe side, Id' use aquarium grade silicone even if you have to wait a little longer. You will be happier.
