........A skimmer!! For an 80 gal total system. I have a BM150 Pro that I liked but I can't find a replacement pump for the thing for less than $125 and I paid less than that for it a couple of years ago. So It's time to get a new (to me) skimmer. So does anyone have a good middle to high end skimmer they want to sell? Its got to have a fairly small foot print. The sump space is limited. 10"X18". I'm just putting feelers out right now because I'm still in Korea for a few more weeks, but I will be buying something (I hope) as soon as I get back. Thanks in advance!!

Dave

I've got a eden pump off a skimz sm121 that needs a new impeller( current one works to some degree, but is noisy as all get out and wont restart if you turn off the pump without some finagling) if you are interested. It should run that skimmer just fine let me know if you are interested. new impeller runs about $50 I think.
on a side note it is euro connections so plumbing might need some creativity

Thanks y'all! I will pass on the pump. I may just buy a new skimmer. I'm looking at the reef octopus diablo 160 (I think that's the model). It's not too badly priced. I hope this tank will be as successful or even more so than the others. I have been putting a lot of planning into it. The others were just kinda thrown together. I will start a build thread when I get home. I have just been acquiring equipment here and there. I'm reusing a lot of stuff to TRY and cut down on costs. But we all know how that goes. :) plus its going to be a much smaller tank than I am used to so I may need some pointers....

Dave, look into the SCA-302 if you have not already. I currently run it on my 45g, but bought it for my 75g when I get the stand finished. It works extremely well for a cone skimmer @ about $150. The company states it works on up to 180g but I would use it up to about 90g moderately stocked. I bought mine off fleabay from theljnet(he has good response and customer service).

mine...

Thanks for the info! I will check it out! Is it a "clone" of another skimmer? Like the SWC?

I have a reef octopus I ran on my 70 gal. It's in Chattanooga though. My system is broken down now. Pm me if interested.
