Looking to add a floating canopy to my first reef build

My first build almost complete but that light is to intense out in the open like that.
Any tips tricks or warnings when building and installing one??

i do not have a floating canopy, and i actually want one.

my tip would be to leave enough space to allow for airflow or even any additional upgrades in the future with adding t5's or LED bars. the most important thing (IMHO), is the ability to hold the weight(whether hanging, or fixed to the wall)

You can easily wrap it in whatever material you want using button adapters, magnet mounts, or 8020 angles.

I might be a bit late to the party, but here is how I did my lighting. I basically welded an aluminum square tubing triangle to light my corner tank efficiently. I have two Kessell lights and a flourescent down the middle to get a full spectrum and the shimmer I wanted. I plan to add an "outrigger" puck style Kessell at an angle to light under a huge plate coral that has covered a bunch of other corals. When that is complete, I will put some sort of cover on all the wires to make them less obtrusive. That box on top is an automatic feeder that drops pellets from the sky.

Here is one I built for my previous 150g tank it was very easy made a frame out of 1x1 wood then wrapped it in fabric like a lampshade
