Looking to add a tang

All of them and none of them.

It really depends on the specifics of your mixed reef. Current inhabitants? Tank size? Coral mix? Algae present? Feeding habits?

mainly depends on size of tank.
I just added chocolate tang, and this past week Achilles and now have a large Gem tang on hold at LFS
Best for you would be Tomini, Yellow, Hepatus and purple

I intentionally didn't post specifics because I'd get 100 different opinions :) First off, 180g with no tangs. Mostly soft coral with a few LPS and SPS. I had a yellow eye kole tang for over 2 yrs.

Not sure the type of reef is that relevant to the ease of a tang to keep. Size, aggression and susceptibility to illness is.

I've found that Tomini, Hippo, Yellow and Kole pretty easy to keep. They all survived quarantine and treatment and took food readily. No major aggression issues. I've struggled a bit more with tangs in the Acanthurus family though.

What tangs are easy to keep in a mixed reef?
any tang would be fine probably would go with a yellow or purple if you can find one at a decent price i just got a couple for 65 bucks a piece real small and if you plan on adding more try to do it around the same time i made that mistake with my yellow eye kole tang he will bullies anything that eats algae until i put a foxface in the tank which he tried to bully and didnt work out for him

Bistletooth tangs are my favorite :) they have a ton of personality, are all very pretty, and seem to tackle more nuisance algaes than the others I've kept. My recommendation for your tank would be either a tomini or orangeline tang. A chevron tang could be cool, but they are expensive and get pretty big.

I love my Yellow and Powder Blue. With a 180 I would avoid very large tangs like the Naso genus, and tangs that get over 10 inches. I would keep 3 tangs of different genus in there.
