Looking to buy a calcium reactor

I’ve been searching the web and forums but with new reactors out and old one on the market I just keep running into old thread I wanted to ask What’s good?

I’ve seen some reactors with decent reviews other with mediocre
There are so many brands out there and it’s not something everyone buys

I’m looking for reliability something that will last and last and advise would help

what size system?

the geo reactors are proven and many recommend for medium to larger systems. I have a relatively smaller system and i was dosing with good results but always had better results with a calcium reactor. I have an MRC reactor but it is large so i purchased an aquamaxx C-tech rx with one of the cheap secondary chambers for a skimz reactor at BRS and it works perfectly with tiny footprint in cabinet. Keeps my alk exactly at 8.6 lights on and 8.7 during lights out with calcium at 430 and mag at 1400. The aquamaxx reactors are budget friendly units that work well.

I have 150 g tank very few corals but want to set everything up before I buy a few colonies thanks I’ll look into some of those reactors

MTC makes very nice calcium reactors. If money is no object Dastaco.

What's the budget? Not only should you be looking for a good Reactor but also a good Regulator as well as a good needle valve. A good reg and needle valve will make life easier when tuning the CaRx.
