Looking to buy a MP40 Got a ?

Would I be ok with just 1 in a 120g tank? or would i have to get 2

If i did get 2 it might be 6 months from now before i bought the 2nd..

I would think that a mp60 would be enough, and prob cheaper than 2 40s.

What are the dimensions of your tank? You will probably need 2. I have two in my 150 (one at each end facing eachother). Thinking about adding an mp10 to the back center.

I stumbled up this today and might be worth checking out. Id think you'd be fine with 2 mp40's on the end and maybe something cheaper in the middle.

This would be 150 gallons.

Are you sure it's not just 48"x24"x24"?

Either way, one MP40 alone wont be enough IMO. You could keep what other powerheads you currently have on one side until you save up enough cash for the other one. To me, you just don't get the full benefits of all the modes without 2 of them anti synced.

also i have a hydor 2 pump controllable heads,I would sell the whole setup maybe get 200 bucks and put towards at least 1 for now.I could always get a cheap for 1 side to hold me for 6 months till i save... cause i wanna get apex also so im going 1 mp40 and the full Apex unit...,or wait on the apex and get 2 mp 40 ,Just think the apex would really help me

make sure the mp10 will work on your tank. They are not rated to the same thickness as the mp40. Only good to 3/8" not 1/2". I am wanting to put one on the back wall of my 120, but dont think it will happen. two mp40s sure do the trick though
