Hey guys I have a 75 gallon reef tank. Have a little bit of everything in in .., lps ,sps, softies... Been looking around for lights... Very confused on what I should get... Leds for sure money not an issue.. But would like to keep it within reason... I have one 165watt mars full spectrum on it now... Would like to replace it...

Leds only, or hybrid an option? The new radion g4 seems to get some good reviews so far, I'm a kessil fan. Do you have an apex or controller? Does it need WiFi? The options are endless, lol

Have you thought about why you want to replace the current light?

It might help to list out some reasons.

That might help give you something specific to shoot for or avoid in the next light.

(There's probably nothing very wrong with the current light as far as your corals are concerned.)

I'm running radion G3 and kessil on the same tank... growth seems to be a LOT slower than my T5 friends... so maybe consider a T5/LED hybrid if money is no issue

What he said!^^^^

I noticed a huge increase in growth when I switched from just LED to an LED/T5 hybrid.

Comparing with someone else's tank is comparing apples to oranges – lighting is too far from the only factor at work.

Posting before/after lux readings (or PAR readings) would give a basis for comparison in both of these cases and make these results more useful to everyone.

(Lux meters are free, so there's hardly a reason not to measure anymore.)

i have 2, Kessil 360N with custom mounts. 6 months old. hit me up if you're interested.

For those that mentioned running hybrid T5 / LED are you using retrofit T5's or a fixture like the giessmann aurora?

FYI I have 3 MH fixtures with balast if you would be interested in that.
With that said I would go Two AI Hyrda 52's with t5 supplement.

Awesome ! Im having a hard time deciding between radion g4 + t5, ap700 + t5, aurora or the upcoming genesis...

Forget that, go get a solatube and bring the sun in! Plus use any led of your choice.

I like kessil, but hate that dont dim all the way to zero then shut off. Shuts off at like 10-15% brightness which is pretty bright.

That Quad Plus and Quad Wide are pretty sick... NanoBox has come a ways!

I can't say I've used their products (yet) but their company name does seem a bit unfair in the light of those two products! :)
