I've got an ETSS 600XR with an added 12" extension on the tower that can strip a 250 gallon SPS tank clean in 48 hours. With the extension it's more of a ETSS 900 xr. I went to a smaller tank and this skimmer was ridiculous overkill for a 150 gallon tank. If you have a large tank with lots of fish it's tough to beat a downdraft or beckett skimmer. This skimmer was pulling a gallon a week out of a 250 gallon tank with a once a day feeding.
