I Just ordered my frag tank is a deep blue 80 rimless for frags only. I was going to venture into online selling beacuse everyone local are cheap and no one has anything good for sale.what is a good way to start online and shipping packaging etc. thanks

The issue small outfits run in to is how prohibitively expensive small accounts are for shipping. My first step would be to talk to FedEx or ups about how much it would cost to ship a couple bags of water with a business account.

Larger accounts (larger companies) often break even on shipping or even lose money depending on the order. The shipping prices you see from them online you can multiply by two or even three for small business, it seems.

To give you an idea, I paid $80 to ship a couple fish to Texas from Indiana, and that took negotiating..

Good luck though if you figure out the shipping let us know!

Well hobbyist need to know that you sell online so advertising is big thing to do in the beginning.
Many vendors spend more money on advertising in the first 6 months than buy in corals.
Than you need to have a good supplier or suppliers.
The tank needs to be stable and have been running for at least 6 months or longer to have that balance.
Having some backup equipment as in pumps and a skimmer is a must as you don't want to have that problem your corals in the frag tank will perish due to not functioning frag tank.
You can find packing materials all over EBAY as in bags, rubber bands, insulated boxes, heat and cold pack.
Setup a FedEx or UPS account as it will be cheaper and the rate will drop as you will send more packages.

IMO, you need to get the shipping part and how to pack corals pretty good under control as that is where most of it will go wrong.
Learn by selling some frags out of your tank as hobbyist and mail those out.
Pretty sure you bought some corals online already so you know how they packed and shipped them.
It's a big responsibility, if DOA will occur and believe me it will your service will or need to be top notch how to handle that.
I sold and shipped corals out of my tank nation wide for years but if corals didn't make I always offered a solution and in most cases it was sending out new corals, there is nothing else you can make that person more happier than a box of replacements.
Read up on shipping policies from some big sponsors on here, they all have it on their web page.
