Currently have a Marine Orbit LED 48" light bar on my tank and I'm looking to upgrade the lights so that I can also upgrade the number and type of corals I can grow (tired of getting real poor results with corals). Have a Apex classic controller to integrate with lights (if needed / possible). Have no tank canopy

but do have clean mesh screens on top.

any suggestions / ideas / experience to share?

@GeorgeS What do you want to start keeping for corals?
Yes. Have a few soft corals and have tried several LPS & SPS over the past few years with bad results, so finally looking to incest in a light setup

I have two AI Prime HDs over my 36" that I'm happy with and I wouldn't hesitate to put them over a 48" but since your tank is a little deeper, I'd suggest two AI Hydra 26s. Hydra 26s or two Kessil A360WEs would allow you to keep anything you want in your tank and you can easily link more units if you ever decide to go bigger. I prefer the programmability of the AIs over the Kessils but with Kessils I wouldn't have any doubt that they are set up correctly from the factory.

I have had my 48” photon V2 over a year on my 90 and still love them. Very clean look from the outside, only 1 small DC power cord.

Kessils are a great option, I love mine. Already setup, no need to tweak color.

Decided to go with two Kessil A360WE Tuna Blue lights. Just got them mounted and t hey look great, can't believe the difference in the look of the tank, the "shimmer" truly does remind me of my days diving in the tropics!

Now I just to finish the cable management and get it programmed into my Apex....any suggestions on programming?

Awesome!, the Kessils are simple and great looking over the tank.

Looks great! Those Velcro strip cable ties or black wire loom work pretty well for keeping the cords against the flex mounts.
