Hey,
I was just wondering what light set up I should upgrade to for a mixed reef that is 5 feet long, 2 feet deep, and just over 2 feet in width. I am currently running 4 AI primes, however, I am aware that this isn’t sufficient for sps as well as the blue LED intensity for the florecent, eye-popping look. I am currently looking at various options such as getting 3 kessil A360X lights in conjunction with the aquatic life t5 hybrid set up. I have also been looking in to getting 3 ecotech radion xr15g5 pro’s or AI Hydra 26’s as well. Please feel free to weigh in with your opinion and any advice here would be greatly appreciated. Would also like to point out that color and overall appearance is the priority for me.

those primes can grow sps, each have 18 inch in length, so 6 foot in length coverage. in all honesty just find the right settings, no need to change lights.

Thanks for your response. I have given consideration to keeping the same light configuration, however, I am also willing to put the money in to getting the best set up possible to get the best looks. Since the tank has thousands of dollars worth of designer corals, I think that it is justified to spend money on a light set up that brings the most out of these corals. Any advice on where to go with this upgrade?

If you liked the primes I would stick to same family! 3 hydra 32s should really do the trick!

maybe get the aquatic life hybrid and use with the ai primes? then i would wait on a deal on upgrading the primes..

if you like the way the primes look and feel go for the hydras, can get used 26hds cheap on here, or the 32s are also an option. you could buy radions if you dont like how the ai primes look or feel. always an option of t5 ai prime combo.

Again if you liked the AI's you could always go for 2 of the new AI Hydra 64 HD's they are rated for 30" of spread each and keeps you with only two fixtures and an app you're familiar with.
