Im looking to upgrade to a 120gal in the future as i get more confident in my skills and i came across this listing for a 120 gal for $150! Great deal! My question is,while looking at the pictures it is pre drilled in both corners(circled in red) Are these where holes would normally be ddilled for sump? Or would they b closer together more in the center of the tank by the glass? Would this be the proper placements for inlet and outlet for a sump? Any suggestions???

Not really ideal, but you could make it work.

I dill mine for a “Bean Animal” external overflow in the center of the tank. (Drilling a tank is easier than you may think) However, you can go to one side or the other. I just prefer the look in the middle. Drains can be drilled or come over the top, but I prefer my drains drilled like everything else.

Check this out…I’ve been running this same overflow for 15 years, and I still prefer it over the others. Highly recommend it.

Definitely read this write up…this is the same write up I read back in 2008! Most everybody in Houston is setup like this.

MUST READ!
