Looks as if the ammonia is gone

So it has been around 5 days since i took out the dead shrimp. And have did test every day just because i wanted to. Well to day it looks as the ammonia is at zero. Should i put the shrimp in again to raise the nitrates some more? Or just add a clean up crew

I don’t know if it’s the right way, but I left mine in until all readings zeroed out. Ammonia, nitrites and nitrates. Patience is key. Good luck.

Then will pick up some snails this weekend. I do now wish i had more sand in the tank. Is that a issue now or can it still be added to the tank. And maybe i will buy some more live rock

Your sandbed looks to be at a good depth; are you trying to accomplish anything in particular by adding more? If you're going to add more, as well as some live rock, now is the time to do it so your parameters can stabilize before fish and other animals are introduced.

So it does matter and i would have to cycle tank again. I have around 1 inch of sand the left side is little low in spots i think. I just was not sure if the sand would really matter much once the tank cycle.

I wouldn't think a full cycle is necessary; just want to watch your parameters and they should even out soon. Your bacteria are probably well established and just need to grow some to accommodate additional bio load.

I think that' a good depth easily cleanable. But definitely get some more lr maybe get that scape a little higher.
