Looks like a whelk snail

This morning i was was looking over the tank and notched a snail shell under the Anemone right next to it foot. Im little paranoid when it comes to my Anemone tanks not that old so im watching it closely so i grab my tongs and i pull off this snail that was little to close for comfort looks like a whelk should i pull him out of the tank I've read they will eat clams. will he eat the anemone foot if give the opportunity?
