Looks like branches??

Not sure what is coming from this Aussie favia. I've had it for a few months and it neither looked like it was doing well or dying. I moved it and have started using reef roids over the last few weeks and now I see what looks like branches coming from it.

At first I thought it was just extending for food, but the closer I looked at it, the extensions are coming from the frag plug and the side of the coral, not the polyps. I'm sure I should know this, but what is it?

They look like hydroids. Should be plucked off with tweezers, they will bother the coral.

Thank you! I pulled it off the plug and plucked everything I could find. They were more on the plug than the coral thankfully.
