I'm so sorry but I don't know how. If you click on the pictures the white fuzzy stuff on the rocks..... some of my rocks have pineapple sponges some don't..
But my saline is at least 1.28.... what I was reading said that is freshwater?
Lets put it this way - IDK - perhaps someone else will. In any case - these things tend to come and go - is there a specific reason you're concerned? Your rocks look great to me!
Im curious - can you post some kind of link - suggesting this - because I've heard multiple different stories about them - they are mostly freshwater - and marine - they are mostly free-living. But - would appreciate any info. To me his rocks look fine

1.028 is a tad high (aim for 1.025) and nothing to do with chrysophytes. It is caused by presence of silicates, zero phosphates or both. This has to be scrubbed off rock with a firm toothbrush and peroxide and followed by aiming water flow towards rock rather than at it.
Going back to my last post, Caused also by silicates. Generally replacing the DI resin in the RO unit will turn this around as pineapple sponge are short lived to begin with.
