I know the plural of anecdote is not data, but I have a 180 which has had a few very minor flare ups of Aptasia. Have tried to keep peppermint shrimp in the display, but the wrasses and perhaps the hawkfish keep them in check, but the shrimp persist in the refugium with is pest anemone free, just see them in the sock chamber.
Have used F-Aptasia to good success in the display, but is has been a while until last month when 5-6 visible small polyps showed.
So bought a CB filefish from AB and after QT went into the main display.
It fit right in socially and as of today none of the poylps that were there are now there.
been watching closely and has not paid any attention to the ample poly or zoa lawns.
So I know that there is a lot of individual differences and some may change, but I for one feel lucky
