I've been out of the hobby for about 6yrs. I come back and start researching... looking at new products.
Back in the day, I believe I was the first one to make an ATO with electronic float switches and relays. I remember people telling me I was making it too complicated... controlling your RO unit and your ATO with a series of electronic floats and double pole latching relays was overkill... and surely couldn't be sensible.
Not you can buy the dang thing!! Errbody is using one!! Somebody stole my idea and made a commercial product.
I had intended to build a device that would do water changes for me too. Storage tanks and switches. I think I'll build it and not post any pics on the internet. Maybe some day there will be some interest in an automatic water changer? I realize they already exist, but more of those are devices continuous operation, where they slowly drain and refill 24/7. I want one that I can set on a timer for once every 7--10 days.
