I came home tonight to find 2 polyps of my fire and ice loose on the bottom of the tank. Is this common? I'm thinking that this is how they spread . Am I correct. Sorry for the newbie question

You might want to glue them back onto where ever they came from, zoas spread by matting around a area and then new polyps will start to form from the mat.

Kinda weird that they just fell off..

That happens when:
1) They are growing super healthy and there is no more room to fill.
2) They are weak and detach from rock or plug because there is a problem with the colony or system.
3) They were glued with a junk glue or not enough glue.

Either way you can glue them to a plug or rock.

Ive had that And placed them in a different tank of mine and shared the love ❤️ I

I've had snails or crabs detach or loosen glued zoa polyps before. Might be my fault for not using enough glue, but I dont like using more than necessary.
