Losing Frag Colors under 14k ushios

I have 250 watt 14k Ushio bulbs over my frag tank, and ive noticed that my zoa's and Acans have started to lose their colors. THey are actually growing really well just not colored up. Will the colors come back under different lights or are they gone for good? All SPS are fine. I've checked all my params and they are all in check. I will say that the Ushio SE 14k are alot more yellow than I though they would be. I want to change to Radiums but the Ushios are only three weeks old. So will the colors come back or should I suck it up and make a change.

Only time can tell for sure. but are u sure your not getting to much light ????? try to raise your lights up for a week or so

my frag tank is 12" deep and my lights are 14" off the water. I guess I can try to raise them a bit.

its worth a shot new MH bulbs can melt corals. i have run duel 400 watt 14k halides for awhile and when bought new bulbs i raised my fixture to 15 or 16 off the water for two weeks or so and the tank was 31" deep hey will change colors after 30 to 60 hours of burning. My 14k's usually turn a cool blue after burn in

Are u sure the bulbs have burned in all ready ????

not sure. they are about 2 weeks old and they are on 8 hours a day so thats 112 hours or so.
