A month ago, June 19th, I bought 3 blue reef chromis. I put them right in my DT, while I setup my QT. 2 days later, I noticed one with missing fins and stringy poop, it wouldn't eat much. I moved it to my qt. Another day later I noticed another with stringy poop, it would eat. I moved it to my qt. I added some medicine that I got from Petco, Imagitarium Bacterial Remedy is the med. A day later the one without the fin loss was very lethargic and was stuck to the intake filter pump thingy. It died... Two days after that, the other chromis with the fin loss was lethargic and stuck. It died... Now the bigger and last of the Chromis has stringy poop, and is lethargic. I moved it to my qt last night. I'm sure it will be dead by tonight.
The fish in my DT are a clownfish, a flame hawk, and a midas blenny. None of them show any signs of aggression. And all seem to be healthy.

Did I get a bad batch of chromis? Was it the medicine?

Disclaimer... I know the method of DT then QT is not the proper way.

Sorry for your loss.

The Petco med is some sort of a herbal remedy. Not very effective.

When we see white & stringy poop, internal parasites need to be addressed. Can treat the water of the QT with General Cure which works if the fish is not eating, and or feed a mix of food + General Cure + Focus to get the med directly to the gut.

From the pictures, it appears the internal parasites were pretty bad and may have caused a bacterial infection (the fin rot) which would need antibiotics: Kanaplex or Furan2 for example.

Yes, unfortunately the store didn't have those products, that's what I wanted to buy. And then they died before I could make a trip to the fish store, which is closed on Monday and Tuesday now because of Covid. I should purchase them to have them just in case I need them in the future though. And after posting this, I did some research about the med I used and I didn't find any results that said it was effective.
I'm guessing since the last one was a bit bigger than the other two, that's why it may have lasted longer before showing any signs.
