I did reef flux on 6/23/20 and waited to do the wc. Got home tonight and noticed my fish looks emaciated and some corals specifically my toadstool and my cyphastreas looking like this. Going to be testing and do a large wc. I got lazy during treatment for bubble algae and my mom got diagnosed with pancreatic cancer metastasized to her lymph nodes so Ive been spending tons of time there and neglecting the tank. Please help if you can! Thanks in advance. Will post numbers ASAP. Already doing wc tonight.

Evening,

So sorry to hear about you mom. Until you do the water change I would get some carbon in there to pull out any remaining stuff along with some extra surface agitation to get the O2 in the tank up

Sorry to hear about your mother. Like the others said, get some GAC in there. Do you run a skimmer? If it is off, turn it back on.

Sorry to hear about your Mom. You’re taking the right action on the tank. A large WC (with matching temp/salinity), running fresh carbon, and running your slimmer wet will hopefully help turn the situation around. Stay positive - you’ve got this! :)

Corals are recovering. I need to do another dose for the bubble algae, lost my male clown. Still working to stabilize tank before dosing again. Honestly I’d keep a close eye on everything and if it starts to turn south I’d do a wc.
