One of my Zoas has taken a turn for the worse. After having good growth the last month or so, the last 2 days it has closed and started to deteriorate. At first I thought it was being irritated by dinos so I gave it a peroxide spray and FW dip but that didn't seem to help.

Then I remembered I saw a flouresecent spot on it last month. I took a photo and got rid of it but since have found a similar photo online...

Now I'm thinking it was a baby Zoa eating Nudibranch so I gave a dip in FWE (4 drops in 1/2 Gal. tank water) for 5 min yesterday. Will this work and is there anything else I can do? I Bayer dip everything before it goes in the tank. I really don't want to Bayer dip the rock bc I don't want it to leach in the tank.

Yikes! I was gonna say zoa spider but I think you’re right... because of the colors. Yes dip with Coral RX would recommend to do it multiple times... I would probably do a little more than 5 mins. Maybe 7-10 minutes you’re going to want to rest them for a a bit inbetween dips sessions.

Thanks. I don't have Coral RX on hand but can get some. It's starting to look better today after FWE dip. Is Flat Worm Exit effective treating the whole tank for Nudis? Complicating things is this is the rock my banded shrimp lives in and I can't get him out to dip and I don't want to subject him to multiple dips in anything too harsh. I have a goby in QT now and would hate to lose him.

uhh not entirely sure but the green fluorescent thing you are talking about in the last photo? Kind of just looks like GSP growing off of it, but could be wrong

Possible it came from something else and that was my thought when I first saw it. It was definitely irritating the polyp. Never had GSP in the tank and I had the Zoas for 7 months. They only recently took off with growth so that's why I'm puzzled to the cause. No changes in params in the last week according to tests. I know they can just melt for unknown reasons so maybe that's what's happening.
