Like the post says loss my clam I had for 2 yrs just out of the blue. Took a couple of days now completely dead. I have no idea why. I have a mixed reef tank. Sps Lps zoa's plays frog spawn and the list goes on no coral around it tho. My paramaters are good.

Running 200 ml of bio pellets reef octopus skimmer. Radion g2 LEDs running at 65% intensity. Need help on the subject of anyone had this happen to them or know anyone. Thx.

Did you see any inverts picking on it, did you add anything new to the tank?

I think I see a bristle worm crawling on the bottom where the two halfs of the shell come together now that u mention it

What fish do you have? Even ones that are commonly safe can develop a taste for clam as I found out...

I know clowns sometimes try to host clams and that can cause a lot of problems, have you seen any fish staying close to the clam?

It's possible that the hippo tang developed a taste for the clam's mantle. That seems to happy quite a bit unfortunately. The bristle worm is innocent, as they don't actively kill clams but rather clean up the dead/dying ones. That's a common misconception in the hobby I have learned.
