Lost a 6 year old clown; now "Nacho" is alone.

So ive had a clown pair for over 6 years now and i came home the other day to "Horchata" stuck to my powerhead lifeless. No idea why everything else in the tank was fine...maybe it was just her time to go. So the male is now alone with a royal gramma and sapphire damsel. Can i get Nacho a new buddy? if so how would i go about doing it? do i get a smaller clown, or a bigger one? if i get a smaller one will Nacho change sex? Nacho is a pretty laid back and happy little guy, Horchata was a raging nip your fingers and arms untill you bleed, bully the other fish, aggresive son of a biscut so i feel like a new addition will go very well in contrast with how relaxed the old Nachismo is. Just to be on the safe side get a smaller clown. It takes months for a male to become the dominate female so you're still in the safe zone.

Weird way for a healthy clown to die, it must have been asleep and wandered into the power head, an otherwise healthy clown should not have any difficulty moving away a power head.

About a month ago I lost my male clown fish. Last week I bought a small clown about 1/3rd her size. After about 2 days she accepted him and he settled into the RBTA they are hosted in.
