Lost a clown fish today

Hi all, we unfortunately lost our female clown today, she had been gulping at the surface but then seemed to recover and was fine for a week or so and was eating as normal.

I looked into everything I could find on line, checked all the levels constantly etc, looked for signs of ich, white spot etc but nothing.

All the other fish are fine, the anemone are fine, she just started struggling.

Anyone got any ideas, thanks in advance.

Could be an internal parasite or bacterial infection. Sorry for your loss and fingers crossed no other inhabitants succumb.

Welcome to R2R and sorry for your loss. Only thing I could think to add to the above reply is could the gulping at surface be an oxygen thing?
