Lost a fish :(

main thing I’m worried about is getting my engineering goby to come out, he lives under my Rockwork lol
Same with mine
Sometimes I forget I have him
Food often brings them out

You can also get a fish-trap
I have 3 traps. He’s good where he’s at- I just don’t see him often, but with amount of fish in tank, I should forget LOL

I guess I’ll just have to bite the bullet and go for it, is it okay to have them all in the same tank? I have about 8 fish, though they’re small but I don’t want them to try and kill each other
Yes, you’ll have to keep a strict eye on ammonia levels, but I think I had about that many and it was ok. I dosed Microbacter Start to get the bio filter up and stable within about a week.

I had that problem with a watchman goby. I used some bug chunks of plexiglass to divide the tank down to where I lifted his rock and he didn’t have far to run.

Got a bigger qt tank setup, is it okay to use water from the DT?? Or should I mix up fresh and let it cycle, I’m not sure how much time I have for the other fish

I think using DT water is fine, though it does mean you'll be moving whatever is wrong to the QT, but, it's the fastest way to ensure an easy transition. The medication will kill whatever is in the water just like it kills it on the fish.

Personally, I mixed up a fresh batch of saltwater and fudged the "sit overnight" protocol and used it within a couple hours.
