Lost and found goby Jim

Hi, new to the hobby, and loving it so far. I recently purchased a small yellow watchman goby I named him Jim. He got lost for two days I thought he was under the rocks hiding however today during my water change I found him in the return pump chamber, in my 10 gallon nuvo. He’s doing fine now but I did add a mesh to the return and I’m wondering if that will mess with the filtration video attached. Thanks in advance
