Hey guys, I’m relatively new to saltwater. I just put a Yasha White Ray Shrimp Goby into my tank. It seemed to be swimming around fine and looked happy after i acclimated it and released it into my tank. I came back to check on it 2 hours later and it is NO WHERE to be found. I am very confused where it is???? I even lifted up all my rocks and still nothing. Is it just that good at hiding? Did it die and the clean up crew made it disappear that quick?? Has this ever happened to anyone else? I’m very concerned and confused. I have 2 clown fish, a small dottyback, a few snails, and a peppermint shrimp in the tank as well. Would love to hear your opinions on what could’ve happened and what i should do next.

AS ALWAYS THANK YOU!

Welcome! No chance it jumped out? In an overflow? Crabs won't finish their meal that quickly.

The fish and shrimp are probably hiding in a rock. +1 Do you have a lid on your tank?

Also wouldn't recommend lifting rocks up. Keep you hands out of the tank when ever possible.

These guys are great at hiding
Unless it jumped or got into the overflow, good chance you’ll see it in the morning

I have a lid on the tank so i don’t think jumping out is an option. Hopefully he’ll be swimming around tomorrow morning. Thanks for the help!! I’ve never been so confused before LOL keeping my fingers crossed it turns up
