He was there yesterday (I think) but I believe this is the 2nd 6-line that I've lost to jumping out of the tank. I've got a 100G rimless. No evidence on the floor, but with cats and a dog nothing stays on the floor for long.... I sure love the 6-lines, they move around the tank and in/out of the rock so nicely they're one of my favorite fish. No more until I get a canopy.

I'm sorry to hear that. Is there something in the tank that may be chasing him and causing him to jump?

I don't think so - 4 clowns, 1 lawnmower blenny, Yellow Tang and Blue Tang. The tangs can get wound up when they're going after the Nori clip or during feeding, but the 6-line never seemed to get too nervous with them. It was a master of all of the nooks/crannies/holes in my rock work so had plenty of space and room to hide. It's possible that one of my cats (look, it's Fish TV!) jumped up and scared him out.

I lost a 6line to jumping, along with my cleaner wrasse yesterday. No more wrasses!

They're such great adds to the tank though. I have just a few fish and they seem to fit right in. This little guy used to sometimes hang in the corner with my clowns - too funny. I'll get another one, but not until I cover the tank.

I'd love to get a flasher wrasse and another yellow barrelchested corris wrasse, but I don't have plans to put a cover on the tank so I'l wait till my next setup.

All wrasses REQUIRE a completely covered tank. 1/4" clear mesh works nicely.

It's not a matter of if, but when in an uncovered tank.
