Lost my anthias to unknown disease

It almost looks like he was hemorrhaging, does anyone know what disease would cause this? It happened a while ago, I don't remember all the specs of my water but I have a clown, two green chromis, citron goby, sand shifter goby, sea serpent and a couple hermit crabs that were fine.

I have a 65 gallon display with about 55gallons in my sump.

Trying to add to my live stock but something keeps setting me back.

These were my last water parameters

looks like a pretty bad infection. they are typically secondary to some other condition. Maybe a wound or parasites and the infection took control and he died. I'm sorry for the loss. Do you QT?

I didn't with that guy, but the next fish I did. I got a coral beauty that was in quarantine for 4 weeks, eating fine put him in the DT and two days later had a flesh wound by his eye which then turned to what looked like pop eye and he died after a couple of days. I can't catch a break. But the few I have in there have been around for almost a year. I don't get it.

The injury turning into popeye sounds about right. If that happens again, start feeding with selcon and treat with antibiotics...preferably in a QT where the meds can be absorbed into the skin. Same would have needed to have been done with the anthias. There is a mix of meds that provide the widest spectrum for infections like with the anthia.... Metro, Furan 2 and Kanaplex. The popeye could have been treated with kanaplex alone.

Hemorrhagic septicemia, most likely. There is both a bacterial and viral version of this disease; the viral version being untreatable.

Outside chance of uronema. How are the chromis looking?

Thanks for the medication advice, I'll have to remember those.

Chromis are great, the anthias died maybe two months ago and everyone in the tank still looks good, never showed any sign of illness.

Probably something bacterial/viral then. If uronema were present in your water, the chromis would be the first to succumb.

How are the fish getting "flesh wounds"? Chasing, biting? Evil crabs?
