So when my tank lights came on today I noticed my snowflake clown was missing so I went to searching and couldn't find him and then when I went to look on the floor there he was... :( All dried up he was totally fine but my female clown just recently started being really aggressive towards him. They were paired but I guess he wasn't fulfilling his duties and she kicked him to the curb. I was watching closely he was still eating very healthy no signs of stress he still showed submission to her he would do his body shake but I guess last night she got him good or something and made him jump.. so yea kinda upset.. well it will be a little while before I add another clown

This is my first fish loss.since tank has been up and running for almost 6 months and it wasn't even because of my wrong doing :( well I guess kind of because no lid but nothing like ammonia or disease so this one hits a little harder because I've had him since the beginning with the female..oh well it happens... It time I will add another clown and hope they pair

Sorry for your loss. Rimless topless tanks are pretty new to me, being an old school reefer. When I set up my first one, I lost some fish to “carpet surfing”. Definitely get a lid, it isn’t only the ones that have the reputation who jump out.

As above on all fronts. Everyone likes the rimless tanks but it's almost guaranteed that someone will decide to leave.
My first loss was one of my clownfish pair (my first two fish) after an almost identical situation to yourself. All going fine then I found one dried up on the floor in the morning.
I had been careful to choose a stocking list based on their alleged tendancy not to jump but as many others will attest, all fish can jump if they feel the need.
I now have a lid (DD DIY net) which actually looks OK and now it's on at least I can add fish that were previously off of the list.
