Lesson learned dip all new corals no matter the source my pink frogspawn seemed super Happy once it got acclimated to my tank but in the last 36 hours it rapidly deteriorated and I couldn't save it in time. I'm pretty sure that flat worms are to blame I dipped the rest of my corals and no pest came out of them.

hi, looks like you can cut in half and save the other head...

I had those polyclad flatworms eat up my Froggy's and hammers.. dipped but they never recovered. I feel your pain bud

Do you have hammers and frogs now if so how long did it take to get more and keep them healthy?

I'd say 8-10 came off on the first dip once it started looking bad
Ok. I just had an episode with a torch about double the amount come off. Luckily I may have gotten it in time. Had to dip all corals several times to ensure eggs etc were taken care of. Scrubed corals with tooth brush and bone cutter to get anything off the skeletons. It was basically all centralized to that one coral except one stragglers. Be sure to dip your other corals at least one more time 5 to 7 days down road and inspect for eggs. Sounds like youbalready cleaned the skeletons.

I lost every hammer and frog except for 1 head of frogspawn. I had 1 torch at the time which has recovered fully, didn't lose a single head. Its flesh receded so far that the skeleton was showing and I thought it was a goner. In between dipping and adding a yellow coris wrasse, I'd say probably a month or 2 before I noticed my torch and single head of frog spawn recovering.

Glad to hear that some of yours recovered I'm definitely going to be playing it by ear the next month or two. I plan on dipping every week for the next month or so

Those polyclads are killer. Had like a 20 head green and purple frogspawn I had for several years grown from 1 head. Got a purple octospawn from another hobbyist and those flatworms consumed both in under a month
