Lost my Ribbon eel today :(

One of the toughest fighters I've owned. Actually came out of his hole to die next to his best friend snowflake eel. Acquired a couple years ago w/injury and lived with snowflake in same pipe until they got to big. Were in separate pipes for close to a year until today! A tough loss for me.

Looked like an Internal parasite. Stopped eating. Was a full grown 38" adult.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss! We always have a few that are tougher to lose than others. You obviously did a remarkable job caring for him with that injury and it was great of you to take him in knowing how much care he'd need to get over it. I hope your remaining eel is OK emotionally. We don't give our aquatic friends enough credit for the friendships they develop with other tank mates. Big hugs to you!
