Lost one. Trying to save the other (help)

Can Tangs get Brook? I thought that was a clownfish disease.
The Sailfin tang brought this disease to the tank.

So the coppersafe will do nothing for him?

I have Ruby Reef Rally. Can I add Rally to the water the coppersafe is in?
Do I need to do a 100% water change and start again with Rally?
Or is it a lost cause at this point?
Any fish can get Brook. If you think the fish is strong enough, freshwater dips can remove a tremendous number of the parasites. Rally is best used as a 60-90 minute bath.

He's pretty close to the end. I doubt he can withstand a freshwater dip.
Should I pull him out of the coppersafe to dip him in rally for 60 minutes?
Should I add rally to the qt that has coppersafe in it?

What should I do?

I'd give him the rally bath for 60 minutes. Temp matched. Might want to put a small heater in the bath. Rally is very gentle product. The acriflavine in it will deal with the Brook and the little bit of nitrofurazone will help with bacterial infection.
Best of luck with your fish. Pulling for you!

To be clear.

Should I pull him out of the coppersafe and give him a temp match bath in rally?

Rally should be added to new saltwater NOT added to coppersafe water?

Should the fish go back into the display after rally bath or should he go back to coppersafe qt?

Please clarify.

Yes,
Yes,
Ideally the fish should go into a sterile QT to prevent reinfection. But in a pinch the coppersafe qt will do.

I’m sorry this happened to you and your fish. I’m following along hoping for the best.

I have him in a 1 gallon container with a teaspoon of Rally, a heater and an airstone.
I plan on having him in the rally bath for at least an hour.
He is NOT happy in there but he is actively swimming. He's coming up to the surface looking like he wants to jump out. He's all over the place in there.

Let's see how this goes and how he does. When he's done with the rally bath, he's going back into coppersafe.

Well... that was quick.
He's now going through death throws.

I took him out of the rally as he was just drifting in current with the occasional dash under his own power.

Back in the coppersafe tank, he's not doing any better. Laying on his side barely breathing.
He's not going to make it through the next 20 minutes.

He's gone.
R.i.p. little buddy.
Time to let the tank sit fallow for at least 72 days before putting any new fish in there.

dang so sad to see your babies drop like that! dang tang! Next time try and purchase a disease prone fish that is already Quarantined by the seller.

I'm so sorry, I wish there was more I could've done to help. You're a great fish owner though, don’t forget that!

Thank you.
It's been a long time since I've lost a fish.
I'm gonna miss them.

It's weird having a tank with no fish in it.

So...

Was it Brook or velvet?
Did the sickness kill him?
Did the Rally bath kill him?
Did the coppersafe after the Rally bath kill him?
Do I leave the tank fallow for 72 days or restock?

I have several corals, 1 Cleaner shrimp, 1 Golden Coral Banded shrimp, about 3 or 4 hermit crabs and about 3 nassarius snails.

Thank you.

Been there. A couple of years ago, had a whole tank wiped out by velvet and the bacterial infections from the parasite's attacks on my fish. Really sad. I truly thought about leaving the hobby. It was devastating. But I met Humblefish. Totally changed my fish keeping practices. Now my tank is parasite free and the fish are fat and happy.
