Lost wavemaker impeller in tank

Anyone ever lost their pump impeller in the tank? I was taking my wavemaker apart and it shot off somewhere in the tank today and I simply can't find it. I think it got lodged in a rock. I'm guessing it's just going to become "part of" the rock since it's inert, right?
