Loud Neptune Trident?

I'm just wondering if anyone else has noticed that the noise their Trident makes is very noticeably shrill? Decibel wise, its only marginally louder than my entire tank + equipment, but the shrill whirr of the water drawing is piercing and just a bit too much to justify using it. I'm considering getting a small plastic tote from the hardware store, lining it with acoustic foam, and placing it inside to see if I can't cut the noise down. If that doesn't work, I'll be getting rid of it which is a shame. I have three stories in my house and with it setup on the third, I can hear it from the ground floor with headphones on. As far as I can tell there isn't anything wrong with it and the firmware is updated.

Just wondering if anyone else experienced a very loud trident and how they dealt with it.

Not normal. Loudest parts of my tank in order from most to least: ATK (siphon break) Skimmer, overflows, powerheads, returns, neptune. I'd contant support.
I do not hear the trident testing, I can only tell by light or the app. Support is really good at neptune.
