Hello, I have a loud draining noise from my tank reefer 170, the level is right I think and the weir is at the level that it ends up draining the more I put in it. But still a draining noise is this normal or is something wrong?

You need to adjust the gate valve on the main drain line. As you close this the overflow will get quiet. It can take some time to get it just right. Turn the valve and wait a few minutes to make sure you haven't gone too far. Adjust some more and wait, repeat as necessary. The idea is to get to a point that it is quiet but not go so far that the tank starts to fill more.

The main drain line is turned down as far as it’ll let me I believe. And there is still a noise of it draining

If the gate valve is turned all the way then you must have it open completely, which will make a lot of noise.

The other option is that it is closed all the way and you are hearing the water going down the emergency drain. You want the water in the overflow box to be high enough that you have a full siphon but low enough that it does not go down the emergency drain. It can take some time to dial it in. I try to keep the water level in the overflow box about 1/4" below the top of the emergency drain.
