Lougals dip question

My orange/red Monti was bleaching bright white about an inch or 2 squared per day, moved it out of direct light to lower spot and at half red/half white I dipped it in lougals, a newly white portion had a clearish-white slime after the dip, should you Turkey baste off the slime in rinse process?

That is protective slime when coral becomes stress. I let it be in this case

Well since it was just dipped in iodine and the instructions said rinse, I blew it off, next time I will leave it on with a light rinse , TY
