I love my sea hare. I had Hyroids for a year and tried everything from super glue to plucking them every other day for some time. They were in a field of zoas so I did not want to harm the zoas. Nothing I did would get rid of them. Also in the same tank I have a massive amount of saw blade caulerpa. I pluck weekly and it still over took the tank. Well my little hare has eaten all the Hydroids and put a huge dent in the caulerpa!! I love this little guy.

the green zoas were almost covered with Hydroids about 2 weeks ago. Also caulerpa covered 75% of this rock.

I can actually see rock now!

glad your infestation Is dwindling now hopefully the rabbit will take out bubbles like he did 4 me....what are the orange zoas near devils armor in 3rd pic im lovin that orange

Is the hare still going strong?

He is fat and seems happy. He is doing a good job eating the caulerpa. He seems to follow a routine. He hits all the rocks but in a certain order.

Were you ever worried he might ink?
I want one for my tank, but I'm concerned about the nasty ink.

Well there is nothing in the tank that should bother it. I have actually picked it up and it did not seem to mind.. I think it would take something harming it to make it ink. He seems ok with light contact.

Ive picked several up in the wild and most have been ok. But one squirted this horrible pinky/purply sludge up my arm lol.
What tank mates do you have with yours?
