Low Alk

Since I’ve started reefing I have been struggling with Alkalinity and low Ph My corals are not struggling but they are not growing either average ph is 7.3 and avg Alk is 6.8dkh. Confirmed by my Hanna checker and my Trident. All of my sps look the same as the day I took them out of the store no discoloration no growth. Any legit suggestions? Roughly 120gallon system

Your corals may be absorbing it at a fast rate in which you may have to manually or auto dose.

I just hooked up the Trident two days ago so I am going to wait a full week to see the cosumption trends before I start dosing

I run Soda Lime through a tube that goes into my skimmer. This increased my PH to 8.24.
Definitely need to start dosing 2 part as well if you aren't already.

In addition to your alk, your ph appears low, any idea why? I’d try to get this up.

You don’t say what alk you are aiming for, so hard to say what is going on.
And ph of 7.3 is most likely a testing error.

Ph probe has been calibrated even took water samples in to my lfs and they confirm my readings

Reef has been running like this for almost a year. So i just don’t want to start adding blindly
