What would cause a really low/no alkalinity consumption?

I have an 80g system that is sps dominate and I have slowly been needing to decrease my ALK and increase my CA and MG. My current daily dosage are as follows:

CA - 40ml
MG - 40ml
ALK - 3ml

To many different possible things to list , changing all the bulbs at once can shock corals and make them stop growing.

First check your test kit or checker. If that is ok anything else can cause a stall....change in lighting change in any parameter, stirring something up, not sure sneezing would cause it but I guess it's possible!

In my own tank I've seen stalls when I started carbon dosing, changed gfo, changed lighting, significant alk spike or dip, heavy fragging, bottoming out nutrients.

Was perusing Google and stumbled onto this post, wanted to see if there was any content about alk consumption slowing down after a fragging day. Ive noticed mine does for a few days after I chop and snip. Thanks for the post from a few years ago
