not to mention low alk means your water can't neutralize the acid in the water. That's what alk is the ability to absorb the free acid molecules in the water. If I'm not mistaken.

You sure your kit is working properly? How do you know?

Sure it is not reading in meq/L?
My test confirmed a same result on another friends tank and it’s a Hanna checker his reader and mine was the same. I get what your saying but my tank is just fine so far with no problems. I love the knowledge you guys have and I’m not being rude or disrespectful, I just want “newbies” to not feel so pressured in getting there params so perfect in a new system because you can’t with all the cycling going on. I just wanted them to feel a lettle better about there system levels and know that my tank is running the way it is with no problems. Reefing isn’t a book you just read and done, it’s many books with many pages and more to be written. No two is the same and it’s important to stay open minded. That’s all
