I have a 140gallon sps Dominated tank full of colonies...I have been running a calcium reactor for over a year, with a kamoer dosing pump.my all was running at 9.0
With my kamoer running at 22ml per minute,,e everything was rock stable until a few days ago when I recalibrated my calrx ph probe (apex) over the course of 2 days my alk dropped to 6.5.....confirmed on my alkatronic and hanna test. I have been increasing my Kamoer ml slowly over a few days and I am up to 35ml a minute (ph inside reactor 6.5) with little change of alkalinity in my tank as it is still under 7, I checked the effluent from my reactor with the hanna and it's solid blue as expected so I'm sure it's very high alkalinity.I was always surprised that my tank could stay steady at 22 ml per minute with all my sps.I can only figure that the the ph probe in my reactor was off significantly and my reactor ph just have been way lower than I thought .Now that it's calibrated correctly..I guess it needs way more effluent...that's the path I am on presently but I am .concerned about running the effluent at 40+ml...or whether I should consider lowering the ph in my reactor(using reborn media)
One other thing,,,the tank still looks great,,,no significant changes,,,,yet.....I have never run my tank anywhere near 7dkh.....other than not having much safety room on the low side should I be concerned? All opinions advice welcome

7 dKH is perfectly fine. Even a bit lower is OK, so it is not a knife edge at 7 dKH.

I have no way to know if the 40 ml/min flow rate is a problem or not, but i see no reason to change it yet.
