Low Barium

The last double (ATI & Triton) ICP test was Barium to low.
ATI August 2018 = 15,54 μg / l = to high!
ATI November 2018 = 8,21 μg / l
ATI December 2018 = 4,37 μg / l
ATI Januari 2019 = 2,34 μg / l , Triton = 2,187 μg /l

I use ATI Essentials Pro.

What can consume so much Barium?

This could be interesting. I know nothing about it. Not something that is really talked about around.

What's wanting you to test for Barium?

ATI Normal Barium = 10.11 μg / l
Triton = 10 μg / l

Is it because of your Triton test that makes you curious?

Most reefers have a too high Barium and I too low

There is no concern with low barium, IMO. It has no known biological use.

@Borsalino this is one of the problems I saw with the triton and test like it. I think once every 2-3 months is better and just watch the main things that we test for on a regular basis.

When you see all the numbers and trying to start chasing parameters which aren't really important you can cause your tank to undergo lots of stress.

I’ve never heard of barium having any biological relevance.

I’m curious, in the section where they suggest how to "fix" your high or low levels, did Triton or ATI give you specific recommendations about what to do about your barium levels? I’ve found those recommendations to sometimes be more number-chasing than useful.
