Low Bromine with Neomarine salt mix?

Hey all,

move been using neomarine for a bit now and I decided to do icp tests with ati. The last 2 tests have come back with very low bromine and higher sulfur. I’ve emailed them to recheck and it was rechecked and verified it was indeed low.

Anyone else using neomarine have any issues with bromine being so low? I’ve got some bromine to dose and get this back up but interested as to what could be contributing to this.

I'm not sure if you will notice an effect since in the past many salts intentionally left out bromide for folks who use ozone (ozone + bromide makes toxic compounds), but i think it is a fine thing to add it. It is mostly used by algae.

That’s good to know so as far as corals/fish this isn’t something that can have an affect on them from being too low or too high? I have some coming in and just raise it to nsw

I just got the same ICP results on my tank that uses NeoMarine. Good to know it's not really a big deal. I'm also high in silicon and low in iodine. Did you find that to be the case? I might just be missing it, but I don't see either in your screenshots.

Just a big high on sulfur and low on bromine, other things that were a bit off I am adjusting but nothing with the salt.
