Low calcium high alkalinity after water change

So I did a water change over the weekend my cal keeps dropping and my dkh rises within a day before the water change my cal was 370 my dkh was 13 after the water change my cal raised to 405 my dkh lowered to 9.5 today I re tested and my cal is 380 and my dkh is 12 I’m not sure why I have these fluctuations so fast I’m using RO water and RPM blue box salt I’m about ready to switch salts I can’t seem to keep stable parameters with these two parts…

What is the saltmix testing BEFORE you add it to your tank?

First things first, if your test kit is low quality, expect low quality results.

I will assume your test kit is a recommended one on the forums. If your salt mix tests normal, then you need to dose equal parts of your 2 part but only adjust the dose by the alkalinity consumption. Pick a goal target alk and dose equal parts of cal and alk to stay near the target alk range.

If the salt mix isn’t testing proper levels, you can adjust the alk with muriatic acid/sodium bisulfate and raise the Ca with calcium chloride.

Redsea salts have high ALK, which can lead to low cal.

If you don't use the whole container, then dry mix the salt before using it. I don't care what any video says, it can be a huge issue.
