Recently removed my Ecobak biopellet with reactor and changed to Ecobak EZ biopellet in media bag few weeks ago. Started to notice drop in calcium level and slight decrease in ph, but all corals including SPS are still doing well with good polyps extension. (ph 7.7, Ca 290 mg/l, Alk 3.3 meq/l). I used ESV two part with auto doser. I tried to increase part 2 ca dosing amount with no change in Ca level for past one week. Any recommendation to raise ca and/or ph?

Thanks in advance for your help and recommendation :)

You can use this calculator to see how much extra of the calcium part of B-ionic (or any other calcium additive you choose) to get the boost you need. Do not match this one time correction with an equal volume of the alkalinity part, except as needed to maintain alkalinity.

That said, I'm a bit skeptical that calcium is really that low. Unless you have been adding a lot of alkalinity and no calcium, it cannot usually get that low, and testing error may be an issue.

Try the kit on some new salt water before boosting the tank.

What salt mix and salinity?
