Science tells us some photosynthetic corals require very little light (that is, the Compensation Point is met at PPFD of less than 50 microMol/m2/sec) but ti is unusual to see it in practice in an aquarium. The photo above shows zoanthids/false corals thriving in PPFD (PAR) of 7 to 15 microMol/m2/sec.Thanks Matthew for inviting me into your home!
 
I had Zola’s live for about 4 months under a 2 watt led light. They got really long and leggy not anything like these beauties here.
