Hello I run a tank that is about 1 year old. It is a nuvo ten, and holds 7.5 gallons of water. I have within it a purple fire fish, and a royal gramma. I also have a turbo snail, and many other snails. The only filtration I use on the tank is 1 piece of filter floss, and some seachem matrix. no chemical media. No carbon. No skimmer. No nothing. I feed it hikari pellets every other day, and reef ab+ as well. I do a 30% water change every week. I always seem to have 0-.03 phosphate, and 0-3 nitrate. Know matter what I do. I do not have algae. However when I dose phos or nitrate. I get algae. I really do not know what to do. should I just give up, and just let it go? The tank houses 13 varieties of zoanthids/palys. I worry that I am not getting optimal growth from them due to the low nutrients. However I wonder if these readings are even correct. I can not really dose without getting algae, and so what is one to do. I could feed more reef roids perhaps. However aside from that I really am sort of at a loss here. It is possible that the seachem matrix is eating all the nitrates, and phosphates. However I kind of doubt it as it is such a small bag of it. I used it in the beginning as the tank is bare bottom. What would you do?

Your corals look good. Maybe they are using all the nutrients.
Instead of dosing, I'd try feeding a little heavier.
Buy honestly, many target water like that, assuming the numbers are correct.
You might give small children bad dreams if they come over to see nemo.
